“Karajan Digital Library” Vol. 22

With Bruckner the “Karajan Digital Library” entered the world of the big “B”s of symphonic music last week and continues with Brahms today. Volume 22 features the four symphonies in up to five different versions, the “German Requiem”, the “Tragic Overture”, the “Haydn Variations”, the violin concerto (all twice) and the wonderful recordings of the 2^nd piano concerto with Géza Anda and the double concerto with Mutter and Meneses. A bonus is Karajan’s only recording of Bruch’s violin concerto, again with Anne-Sophie Mutter.
