Karajan with Mahler 6 as Original Source Vinyl

“The Sixth is for me one of the greatest symphonies.”
Herbert von Karajan
Deutsche Grammophon has done it again. After the highly acclaimed Karajan/Bruckner cycle last summer, another landmark in Karajan’s symphonic repertoire will be published as “The Original Source Audiophile Vinyl Reissue” mixed and cut directly from the original analogue source – Mahler’s sixth symphony. The precious vinyl album with two LPs is a must-have collector’s item for every Karajanist and is available on 14 February. Today already, you can watch a video with Rainer Maillard and Sidney Claire Meyer explaining the technical details of this edition, cowbells and church bells included! Watch here.
